What sets e-Excellence research apart?
One of the key differentiators which separate e-Excellence surveys from other e-commerce research, awards and ratings is that all providers are measured against the same objective scoring model for each particular product area. A provider either has a particular piece of functionality or they do not – we deliberately do not include any subjective measures.
Whilst there is a role for subjective research, our perspective is that this is already available from a plethora of different sources – this was one of the main drivers behind creating a process that delivered entirely objective benchmarks.
As a result of our research, we are able to generate the following reports:
- Market Analysis report providing extensive adviser feedback and tables collating the responses from all surveys received, which is backed up by two additional reports which examine your own proposition in more detail:
- NEW Key Competitor & Proposition Analysis comprising the full Market Analysis report, the Top 5 Recommendations & Gap Analysis plus Direct Competitor Analysis for the Top 5 areas.
- Proposition & Gap Analysis identifies your proposition’s weak points, prioritising the need to address these and identifying the Top 5 areas which should be resolved to ensure that you remain competitive in the marketplace.
- Direct Competitor Analysis report provides a graphical representation of how your proposition has performed in each section of our research against four competitor companies (which are nominated by you).
- Companies looking to develop an existing online proposition
- Companies intending to launch an e-enabled service in the future

"Feedback we received from F&TRC helped structure and where we stood in the marketplace. We found the findings invaluable and have since made changes to our business proposition on the back of what we were told. The benefits that these changes have brought to our business have allowed us to deliver a better service to our customers and stay ahead of our competitors."
Clive Kornitzer - Chief Operating Officer, Abbey for Intermediaries
"The F&TRC research has kick started a
full Life e-Commerce programme at LV= as
it gives us the voices of a wide range of
adviser firms and operations”.
“Technology lies at the heart of our
propositions and the e-Excellence rating is
vital in helping clients, potential clients and
their advisers appreciate just how good that
technology is."
Steve Dyas – Portal Manager, Intermediary Sales Division, LV=

their advisers appreciate just how good that

Garry Morrison, Customer Services Director, Standard Life
"Your Proposition & Gap Analysis research is invaluable in
providing almost every element needed to present a business
case for new edevelopments. It defines the areas where the
services need to be enhanced and even more important the
priority aspects. This provides the route map and requirements for our
e-Business developments. In addition, your scoring process provides, in
my view, the best objective external measure available of the progress
providers are making with their e-Business Proposition".
